not much going on

So I thought I'd better update my blog, it's been over a week. It's been a pretty boring weekend, but I must say, that is how I like my weekends, and my life these days. Yesterday I went to curves and cleaned the house. Then I put on my new shoes with the cherries on them and my heel kept hopping out of them, I guess they were too big. So, I took them back to Kohls and went to Payless. I got a pink pair and a polka dot pair there. Hopefully it will be dry enough that I can wear them this week. At least it won't be cold, yea! I don't have to go to Guilfoyle's this week because they will be in the media center working in groups on a power point project all week, yea! I probably better go down tomorrow though and see what the project is all about so I can help them when they are in the resource room. Waa. Let's see, anything else I can yea or waa about? Hmmm, can't think of anything. I went to a garage sale yesterday and didn't find anything for myself but I did find some sunflowers in a basket for Diane, I think she will like them. Oh, I just thought of something to waa about, remember the noise coming from my pipes when I run the hot water in the kitchen? Well, it used to come and go, but now it is not going. We think we will have to call a plumber, that is a BIG WAA. We had plans to put down hardwood linoleum in the entry room, but I can see those plans flying out the window. Shoot, feels like I will never get everything done that I want to get done around here. I'm pretty sure we were going to put that floor down last year and something dumb came up then too. Makes me mad. I found the color for my bedroom, it's a green shade from behr, should be pretty. Now I hope I have money left after paying a plumber to buy paint. Seriously, I have this big list of things I want to do and things come off of it in super slow motion. Oh well, what can you do? I wish we could win the lottery at work, that would be great. Till then, I will just keep waiting and get really excited when something does come off that list! Ok, I said way more than I thought I had to say, gotta go and get in the shower. See everybody bright and early!

almost over

So, I can't believe spring break's almost over. Maybe that's not such a bad thing, I've worked way too hard this week! It actually took 2 coats of paint for all the trim in my room ( sucks) and those darn skylights. The one over our bed is up higher than the others and I had to get on the third step on the ladder to stretch and reach it, I was scared. I had Whitney hold the ladder for me, how funny is that? Funny as it sounds, it was actually comforting, at least if I would have fallen someone would have known I guess. I ended up working way too much on that crap and Pierre ended up getting hurt again. See, Daryl and I have our box spring and mattress on the floor due to re decorating in the bedroom. Well, ever since Pierre hurt his back and neck in December, his back legs are weak and he just can't jump on and off of things anymore. We are aware of this and that's why we carry him up and down the stairs and don't let him jump on the couch anymore. So last night when we were upstairs and no one was looking, he got on the bed and then jumped off, seriously it was only about a foot and a half. We actually saw the end of the jumping off part, it was real scary. He yelped and yelped and flopped around and couldn't stand up. Daryl and I were freaking out. Daryl picked him up and then I took him cause Daryl thought he was dying and was freaking ( ok, so now I know for sure neither one of us will ever be able to put him to sleep, he is just as bad about this stuff as I am ). When we finally got brave enough to put him on the floor we could see that his back was hurt again. I gave him one of his muscle relaxers from before and he seemed somewhat ok last night. I took him to the vet this morning and he got a shot of steroids and pain meds again. She did say this injury wasn't as bad as the one in December. I did get him in quicker this time too. Poor Pierre, he just doesn't understand that he is old and can't do that stuff anymore. We have to really be watchful of him and careful too. He just got his hair cut yesterday too, as least he looked spiffy for the vet. Talked to Diane yesterday, they say she will get to come home Saturday, I sure hope she makes it back to work Monday, I'd say she needs to get back to work to have a break! Is anyone enjoying As the World Turns this week? I must say, I do love Cleo, she is funny. I hope Jade doesn't warp her and make her evil, but she probably will. This weather totally stinks, I guess it's not going to get warm anytime soon. I was hoping it would, I am tired of wearing winter clothes. Guess I better go and watch the stories again and baby Pierre!

poor Diane

Just talked to Diane, she is still at the Cleveland clinc and doesn't know when they will get to come home. She said if she was here and could blog, her blog headline would be "DAUGHTER KILLS MOTHER WITH PILLOW AFTER SUCCESSFUL ANEURISM SURGERY AT CLEVELAND CLINIC." I told her I would tell you guys about it for her. She said last night her mom had her move her pillow so many times that she finally told her if she didn't stop she was going to put the pillow over her head. She cracks me up. I feel bad for her, she is definitely not having a good time. I hope you get to come home soon Diane, although I'm not so sure your ride home is going to be anything good. You can blog about it when you get home! So, I started painting today and wish I would have just left the darn room alone! I must have forgotten that the room is really big, has lots of trim and lots of interesting angels!!! Don't even get me started on painting inside the skylights! NIGHTMARE! I can't even reach the one over the bed because I sure can't put the ladder on the bed. Daryl will have to do it when he gets home. I know, his arms aren't much longer than mine, but the man can move and balance like Spiderman! So anyway, my day sucks, I hope I can get it finished today, those nightmarish skylights need another coat too, but I am still having a better day than Diane. Just so you guys know, I will not be in school on May 8th. It has to do with Brandon and I would rather not go into details. I love him to absolute death, but sometimes I think the boy has lost it. I have to have faith that he will be ok. Ok, that's all the talking we're doing about that, ok? I don't want Niagra falls to start and it will Gotta go paint some more!

I just got back from the dentist where I had really good news. I was so worked up with fear by the time I got there I thought I was going to freak out any minute. He took an X ray, nothing on it. Then where the heck is all the pain coming from??? He poked around, there was the pain. He put some "varnish" on it to de sensitize it, poked around on it again, no pain anymore!! I was one happy woman, let me tell you. I will try not to be so scared next time. I bought myself a quilt last night at Wal Mart. They said they just got them in. It is a real pretty light green. So, I think I might be planning on painting my bedroom tan at this point. I am going to paint the trim tomorrow. My body is really, really sore today and it must be from working 4 hours on little Miss Whitney's room yesterday. I haven't been to Curves in 3 weeks, so my muscles were probably in shock. I also was in shock today when I was at Wal Mart ( twice in about 16 hours) and was trying on shorts and capris and the size 12's didn't want to zip. WHAT THE????? Ok, it's really starting to sink in now, I can see I'm just going to keep getting bigger and bigger. I better get my bigger butt back to Curves and pronto! Maybe Thursday after I dop Pierre off at the beauty parlors. I finally got a hold of Bessie. Good thing, he is too old to have to be going somewhere else to get his do done. Gonna go eat a lean cuisine and wait for my stories!

The room from you know where

It took me 4 hours of hard work to tackle Whitney's room. She will be so surprised when she gets home. I am absolutely certain I burned up at least a bazillion calories doing that. I took 5 lawn and leaf size garbage bags of stuff to the garage for the garage sale, amvets and just plain old garbage. After all that my daughter still has; 47 purses, 22 pairs of shorts, 20 pairs of capris, 5 drawers full of t shirts, 8 skirts, 28 pairs of shoes, 33 pairs of pajamas, 14 Kings shirts, 40 pairs of undies, 30 something pairs of socks, I didn't even count the sweatshirts, pants, long sleeved shirts and jackets. What's the point? I think she has too much stuff. I shouldn't buy her anything for a good long while! The room looks fabulous if I do say so myself, even though it probably won't last long! Our friend Diane called me this morning. She is still in Cleveland, unfortunately. Something on her mom started leaking, so maybe she will get to go home Wednesday. I sure hope so. You know how cold it has been in Cleveland? It's been snowing too, a whole big bunch every day and you know what Diane and Caroline have for coats? Yep, they each have a sweater, yikes! I hope you get to come home soon Diane! So, I called the dang dentist. I am really scared, I have an appt. at 11:00 tomorrow. If I am not in too much pain, maybe I will blog about it afterwards. I don't want to go!!!! Whitney has a spring fling at PSU tonight, so Daryl and I are going out to eat and then we are going to check out the Kroger Marketplace in Lebanon before we pick her up. I can't wait to go, I have been wanting to for a while. Hopefully I won't spend too much money. Oh, and in answer to Lisa's question, nope I don't have the pictures on my computer. See I would have to know how to do that to have them on there and of course I don't know how to. Maybe you could just send me diirections for how to do everything. I decided I kind of want a pickstitch quilt, too bad they are like $200 just for the quilt. Hmmm, maybe I will something for my bed at Kroger Marketplace. Ha, ha. I might want something tan to go with the green walls I will have. Who knows? The old Craig is going to be on ASWT tomorrow!!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to everyone! Is everyone proud of me? It has not even been 2 weeks since I updated my blog and here I go again, I am terribly proud of myself! So, we are going to my sissy's today for Easter dinner, that should be fun. We had fun with Dylan last night, he opened up his laundry basket Easter basket. Nina thinks I am nuts, I just happen to love her kid a lot. Oh, and I like to buy him things, I think he likes it too. Brandon already knew I was nuts. Anyway, I tried to eat a piece of his chocolate candy and it made that tooth of mine ( you know, the one that woke me up throbbing about a week ago?, I guess it wasn't the popcorn, waa) hurt really bad. I was thinking of just going with that for a while and maybe I could lose some weight. Actually I will probably call Dr. Rotella tomorrow and make an appt. I am really scared because of the I don't numb on the bottom problem. Maybe I will lost some weight worrying about that. I am going to drag everything out of Whitney's room and tackle that tomorrow. That should be a fun morning. I better be done before As the World Turns comes on. Maybe I will lose some weight doing that. This week I am also going to paint the trim in my bedroom. You guessed it, maybe I will lose some weight doing that. Hey, you never know, I sure don't lose any weight sitting on my butt at work all day, now do I? I'm not sure what else I will do this week, I have been trying to find just the right bedding set for my bed, but I can't be satisfied with anything for some reason. Maybe they will come out with some new stuff soon, or I will just pick something, it is starting to aggravate me. This cold weather is for the birds. Daryl needed new shoes for work, so the other day we went to Kohls to get them. Of course Whitney and I wanted new shoes too. We both got the ballerina type ones. Hers are Keds and pink and really cute. Mine are white with cherries on them. I would have liked to worn them today, but I think my feet would get cold. I got my hair cut Friday, I have all kinds of layers. It looks like a throw back to the 70's to me. I guess I will get used to it. If I knew how to put pictures on my blog, I would show you guys ( do you really believe that I would put a picture of myself here?) but I don't know how. Ok, I think I have to go and blow dry this new do of mine now, have a great day and great spring break!!!
