Just me ramblin

This is the picture Brandon used for his Dylan tattoo. It turned out FABULOUS! Looks just like him. As soon Brandon puts the picture of it on the computer, I will post it. I know, I am a loser.
The Twilight Zone marathon has begun!!! Every year for many years I have been watching it on the Sci Fi channel on their New Years Eve and New Years Day marathon. I love it. Again, I realize I am a loser.
All of a sudden I have been sleeping until 8:00 for the past few days. Not going to be any fun when I have to get up at 5:00 on Wednesday. Don't think my body's going to like it.
Went to the dentist Thursday to see why I have pain on the right. Because, of course, I need some work don't on the upper right also. We will be doing that on the 18th when we tackle the other. I am getting really scared about that day, it is getting closer and closer. Shoot.
Dad is in pretty bad shape. He can hardly walk and is in a tremendous amount of pain. He can't see the surgeon until the 3rd because he has been out of the office for the holidays. His family doctor wants him to go to the hospital, but of course, he won't. He might get to where he doesn't have any choice. I hope he learns a lesson on going to the doctor, but he probably won't.
Ok, have to get in the shower and go to Penny's. Ricky's birthday is the 8th and Whitney want to get him a gift. My mom's birthday is the 4th. Whitney has a sleepover with 2 of her friends that have birthday's on the 19th and we have a wedding to go to on the 25th.So much for any extra money this month. And I thought after December, it would get better!

My silly dad

So a few months ago, my mom tells me that my dad has this protrusion in his side. I say, is he going to the doctor? I already know the answer of course, my dad never goes to the doctor unless it is an emergency situation. My mom is no better, but likes to act like she is when she can't talk dad into going to the doctor. To make a long story short, my dad got in pretty bad shape this week and we celebrated Christmas at my sissy's house without mom or dad. By this point, his testicles were swollen the size of oranges according to my mom and he couldn't even sit. He actually made it to the doctor this morning where he was told he had a hernia. He will be having surgery, but I'm not sure when, he has to see a surgeon first. He will probably put it off as long as he can. Of course, he's in such pain at this point I think he might actually be ready for help. WHY DOES HE ACT LIKE THAT???
We had a good time yesterday even though mom and dad were missed terribly. It was fun having Dylan. Oh and my microwave has been up since Saturday! YAY! I will post pictures of everything once Brandon puts them on the computer for me. I will ask him to do it tomorrow after I am done taking them.
That's about it for now, Daryl has been replacing brakes on the Grand Am today, calipers, rotors and pads. Dang, he's been busy, but I think he's about done.

bra shopping and other fun stuff

So, I washed the Gilligan Omalley's and still encountered an itching problem. So weird. So anyway, off to Kohls I went to buy some new bras. I only managed to find one in my size that I didn't hate. When I'm on break I will go to Penney's and see what I can find. So anyway, when me and Whitney and Big Blue were driving around in Kohls parking lot, Big Blue started to slide on ice. Yikes, it didn't look like there was ice like that! Then when I was walking up to the door I almost fell on my butt when my feet started to slide on the ice just like Big Blue did! For a minute I thought maybe I should have stayed at home. Whitney thought it was hysterical. Wonder how funny she would have thought it was if it was her butt almost meeting the pavement, hmmmm?????
In other news, the toothache is still there, but I am going with the option of trying to wait until break to do anything about it. My list for break is getting awfully long. I am hoping Advil will get me through it. I am going to call him tomorrow and try to set something up. I hate my teeth.

toothache

Nope, it's not the one that I have to get all the work done on on January 18th. That's on the left side. This is on the right side. No doubt this is on the bottom too, I can't actually tell because the pain is so bad it hurts on the entire side. I have been having pain there for a little over a week. I even called the dentist last Monday to make sure the tooth that needed work was on the left. Yep, sure is. Then why the heck does it hurt so much on the right?? I am not happy. I woke up this morning with the right side of my face hurting to the touch even. I am wondering now if I should take off Monday and go to the dentist, or try and wait until break. I don't want to go at all, of course, so I am leaning toward break. However, I don't want to get into a situation where I have to miss during exams if it gets worse. I don't want to miss another day because of teeth period, since I have to leave early on the 8th to take Whitney to get her cap started and I am off on the 18 to get my cap started. Waa. My teeth haven't given me any trouble for a long, long time and now they are starting to go crazy.
In other news, the snow has now changed to rain. Now I want to go to Kohl's. I am going to refrain though because I don't feel like putting make up on and that is a good enough excuse for me not to go and spend more money.
Guess I'll head back to the basement to the laundry and feel sorry for myself again.

Ripped off

I am really upset today. I got a letter in the mail yesterday from one of my credit card companies saying they upped my credit limit. I decided to check it out online today and was horrified to see that someone ( not me ) has been charging things online on this particular card everyday ( sometimes more than once a day ) since November 28th. I am dumbfounded. This card has been literally locked up where NO ONE could have gotten it for a year. I have a whole stack of them that I locked away from myself. Luckily the charges are only around $400 at this point. I called today and they put a freeze on the account, but I am supposed to call a bank tomorrow about all the fraudulent charges. I sure hope someone hasn't gotten ahold of my social security number. Stupid, mean, dishonest people. I can't wait until I talk to someone tomorrow and they tell me where the purchases the person made are going. I mean, they have to have a shipping address right? They sure aren't coming here. I am not a happy camper.
On a lighter note, Ricky asked Whitney to marry him on Friday. They are funny. He has her ring in layaway, but wanted a ring to propose to her, so he got her a ring to do that with. It is 18kt. gold over silver and it has a red heart on it. She loves it and thinks it's the prettiest thing she ever saw. It is, of course, too big for her finger and she has it on a chain around her neck. It is actually pretty. She has been showing it to everyone. She is at "Woodstock's" house right now. I'm sure she has shown it to her parents and they probably think I am an awful parent for not sheltering her from all the big bad guys and babying her, but I say she is having the time of her life. And anyway, who am I to tell her that she can't have relationships and feelings like the rest of the world? I can't do that because she does have feelings and she is taken care of. She is actually having a pretty "normal" life and that's what I've always wished for for her. So there. Anyway, I told Ricky that he should just let that be her engagement ring and save his money because she loves it and is telling everyone that it's her engagement ring anyway. We'll see if he takes my advice. Life sure is sweet when people aren't stealing your money. I know it will be ok, at least it's $400 and not $4,000 and Brandon isn't having problems right now and is being a completely awesome person which I am forever grateful every day for. So this is just a small bump in the road compared to other things in life. Everyone is healthy including my 17 year old dog! I actually have alot to be grateful for!

Visit from Dylan

Dylan has been here this weekend, which has been great. When he got here, he saw Pierre in his red sweater and asked us why we dressed Pierre up. Cracked me up. He is reading words and spelling some too. It sure is good to see him. He will be back up at Christmas which won't be long. Better finish buying his presents.
I bought Whitney new pants this weekend to fit her expanding butt. I passed by all the sweaters and it sure was hard. I told myself I will go back after Christmas and catch all the after Christmas sales. She went to Ricky's yesterday and they went to the Christmas parade in Lebanon. Looked like fun, they had horse drawn carriages. I went to the grocery and did laundry. Other than that, not much else going on. I am watching TV Land today, they are showing a 24 hour marathon of Christmas episodes. Brady Bunch is on now. I am taping a Hallmark movie tonight with Sissy Spacek, it looks good.
Maybe some snow this week? I don't think I'm ready for it yet. Not unless we get a snow day or course! Probably not though, so I'm sure I'm not ready.
