birthday skateboard

So, I made it through bowling and the birthday party with the help of regular doses of Advil. Dylan had asked Brandon for a skateboard for his birthday and was thrilled to get it. Here are some pictures of Brandon showing him the ropes. I think he is a wee bit small for it right now, but he was loving it none the less. I have a feeling they will be doing a lot of this.

Ok, I have felt like total crap since yesterday. My throat hurts so bad, and so does my head and under my eyes. Didn't get much sleep last night. Too bad, so sad, I had to get up and take advil because today is Dylan's birthday party and I have to take Whitney bowling too. I guess I will keep the advil close by today. I am thinking it's just a cold, but I feel so bad. I think they get worse the older I get, like everything else. Oh well, I have to get over it. Mrs. Hanke, I tried to comment to your blog this morning, but the screen kept jumping and wouldn't let me ( weird ) . Anyway, keep an eye on yourself, Brandon had his appendix out when he was 8 ( Daryl had his out at 14) and I remember that his whole belly hurt in addition to the pain on the right side. Anyway, take care of yourself and I hope you feel better, let us know how it is going. I will update later with party pictures, hopefully.

Happy birthday Pierre, we all love you very much. You have been a loving and loyal little friend for 17 years. There have been many days that you have been my favorite member of my family. I have never once thought of throwing you in the trash or locking you in you room like I have your brother and sister. I hope we get to have a few more years together. I hope you know how much you are loved. Now, let's go eat some ice cream!!

Ok, I really didn't mean to have 2 of the same pictures on here, but I got impatient and thought it didn't work, so of course I did it again. And of course, I don't know how to take one of them off. Anyway, Happy 4th birthday to Dylan. I love you very much and am so glad that you're a part of our family. Have a wonderful day! We will have his party here on Sunday and I will take some celebration pictures. I asked him what that was on his face above his lip in this picture and his answer was " blue tuff".

Happy 21st birthday Whitney! I forgot to take my camera to the bowling alley today and just snapped this picture as she was dragging her hamper to the basement landing. Her eyes are red in this one, but oh well. We've had a pretty good day, she got a "hey pretty lady" , a big hug and called sweetheart from Ricky at the bowling alley. I know she really likes Dave, but I think they are headed more for just friends these days and I think Ricky is her fella. She just doesn't know it yet. He likes her a lot and has for a long time. He is very sweet to her. We'll see what happens. So, anyway, I will update on the world of Whitney as is necessary to keep everyone informed. See everyone tomorrow!

Ok, Ok...

So, here I am updating my post, cause I sure don't want to sit in on any more of those meetings. I hope everyone is enjoying their Friday at work, I am having a pretty busy day. Took Brandon to get the wisdom teeth out this morning. All went well, except he was supposed to eat something like pudding and take a pain pill before the numbness wore off. However, I could not get him to wake up. He was really knocked out, much more that Whitney was when she had hers taken out. Maybe it's because he has been clean for 6 months and the addict in him just really reacted to the drugs? So, you probably guessed it, when he finally woke up he was in pretty much pain. I made him eat, gave him a pill and an ice pack. Hopefully he will go back to sleep. I am hoping the pain pills work well for him. He told the doctor that he was a recovering alcoholic in treatment and wanted non narcotic pain meds. I must say, that was one of my proudest moments of him. So, other than that, I have been doing laundry and got Whitney's birthday presents wrapped. I also got the bathroom downstairs cleaned and have my cleaning supplies for the one upstairs sitting on the steps waiting for me. It's nice to get things done, but it has beend pretty tiring. I actually got to sleep till 6:00 this morning though, that was nice. I guess that's it for now, talk to you all later!

nothing to do

Nothing going on here today. I keep thinking about going shopping, then I think about how much debt I am already in and how I have to birthday shop for Whitney and Dylan soon and how if I don't stop this madness I will never get my Subaru Outback and I go watch TV and do the wash. I am trying to enjoy the boredom since it will be over tomorrow. Work is definitely not boring this year, which is good because the day goes really fast. It seems like I am forever running around after school too. Tiring. Dylan was here until yesterday, he and Nina went to Tennessee for the week to visit her mom. I will miss seeing him this week. Whitney has been a cranky mess all weekend. She is getting ready to start and her boyfriend went to Kansas this weekend to pick up a golden retriever puppy from his aunt and uncle that breed them. He picked a really good time to be gone, she is getting on my nerves. Good thing she stays in her room by herself most of the time all weekend, I don't think we could stand her otherwise. She actually spent the night with Bridget on Friday. Seemed to have fun doing that. Daryl actually has taken all weekend off which is nice. Ok, I guess I have bored everyone enough, I've got nothing this weekend much to say, see everyone in the a.m.
